Soledad O’Brien, Chair
Soledad O'Brien is an anchor and special correspondent for CNN/US. She reports breaking news from around the globe, produces award-winning documentaries and covers political news.

Stanley S. Litow, Vice Chair
Stanley Litow is the President of the IBM Foundation and IBM's Vice President for Corporate Community Relations, heading global corporate citizenship efforts at IBM. Before joining IBM, he served as the Deputy Chancellor of Schools for New York City.

Diana Taylor, Vice Chair
Diana Taylor is a managing director at Wolfensohn & Co. She previously served as the New York State Superintendent of Banks and Chairwoman of the New York State Banking Board. She chairs the boards of ACCION International and the Hudson River Park Trust.

Pedro A. Noguera, Secretary
Pedro Noguera is a professor in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development at New York University, the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education and the co-Director of the Institute for the Study of Globalization and Education in Metropolitan Settings. He serves as an advisor to large urban school districts throughout the U.S.

Mimi Clarke Corcoran, Treasurer
Mimi Corcoran is the Director of the Special Fund for Poverty Alleviation at The Open Society Foundations. Ms. Corcoran was previously an independent management consultant advising clients on strategy, policy, compliance and operations structures, and served as the Executive Director of the Beginning with Children Foundation, Inc.

Lucy N. Friedman, President
Lucy Friedman is the founding President of The After-School Corporation. Prior to founding TASC, Ms. Friedman was the founder and Executive Director of Safe Horizon (formerly known as Victims Services), a crime victim assistance and advocacy organization.

Sayu Bhojwani
Sayu Bhojwani is the founder of The New American Leaders Project, which is committed to increasing the number of U.S. elected officials from immigrant backgrounds. She served under Mayor Bloomberg as New York City’s first Commissioner for Immigrant Affairs and founded South Asian Youth Action (SAYA!).

Leon Botstein
Leon Botstein is the President of Bard College. He is also the music director and principal conductor of the American Symphony Orchestra and the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the radio orchestra of Israel.

Geoffrey Canada
Geoffrey Canada is an advocate for education reform and the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Harlem Childrens Zone, which targets children in a 100-block area of Central Harlem with comprehensive services.

Jé Carr
Jé Carr is a strategic partner for development at Google Inc. Prior to joining Google he was Director of Partner Development at Time Warner, Inc.

Esther Dyson
Esther Dyson is a journalist and commentator on emerging digital technology, a philanthropist and an entrepreneur through EDventure Holdings.

Jay L. Kriegel
Jay Kriegel is a Senior Advisor at Related Companies and serves as Counsellor to the firm of Abernathy MacGregor. He ran New York City’s campaign to host the Olympic Games of 2012. He was publisher and co-founder of American Lawyer Magazine and Chief of Staff/Special Counsel to New York Mayor John V. Lindsay.

Paulo Pena
Paulo Pena is Vice President of Global Marketing Partnerships at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, leading a team that develops, negotiates and executes global strategic marketing partnerships. He previously worked for The Coca-Cola Company in various international finance roles.

Frederica P. Perera
Frederica Perera is professor of Environmental Health Sciences at Columbia University and Director of the Columbia Center for Children’s Environmental Health.

Jennifer J. Raab
Jennifer Raab is President of Hunter College, the largest college in the City University of New York (CUNY) system. Previously she served as Chairman of the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission.

Herbert Sturz
Herbert Sturz is a senior advisor of the Open Society Institute, where he helped establish NURCHA, which has facilitated the construction of over 300,000 houses in South Africa. Mr. Sturz has also served as founding director of the Vera Institute of Justice; New York City Deputy Mayor for Criminal Justice; Chairman of the New York City Planning Commission and founding Chairman of the Center for New York City Neighborhoods.
