Pathfinder Image

Pathfinder is the site where youth workers, trainers and employers connect online and share job, educational and career opportunities. It is the first Web site of its kind, designed to help talented individuals develop careers in working with young people. Using Pathfinder, New York City youth workers can turn their jobs into careers, and get constantly updated information on job openings, trainings and educational opportunities that can help them have the greatest possible positive impact on kids.

Job-seekers or those who are interested in working with kids can use the site to:

  • Search for jobs in New York-area after-school, expanded learning time and youth programs
  • Search for job trainings and educational opportunities
  • Use tools to design a career path, complete with recommendations for training and credentials
  • Get help producing winning cover letters and resumes

After-school and other youth organization managers can use the site to:

  • Post job openings that will be seen by qualified staff
  • Find trainings to help their staff get licensed and improve their practice

Trainers and educational institutions can use the site to:

  • Introduce themselves to individuals who want to work with young people, and to post information on their upcoming training sessions and educational opportunities

Pathfinder was developed with the support of the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and The Wallace Foundation. Booth Ferris Foundation provides support for its operations.
