What We Do

TASC offers technical assistance services to schools and programs as well as citywide, state and regional organizations. We focus on both system and program-level capacity building to improve program quality. We also help cities, regions and states organize their resources to build and sustain coherent, efficient after-school systems.

TASC has helped 30 cities, states and regions strengthen programs and build after-school systems.

How Do We Do It

We contract to provide customized assistance based on need. Among the tasks we address are these:

• Coordinating local resources to support systems
• Building effective school – community organization partnerships
• Building organizational capacity
• Program start-up, scheduling and implementation
• Quality self-assessment and improvement
• Fiscal management
• Data management
• Hiring and developing staff
• Recruiting and retraining program participants
• Indentifying and implementing strong curriculum
• Evaluating program outcomes
